You will also notice that the most popular brands are the ones you regularly see advertised in magazines. This may come as a surprise, but you are not going to find the world's best skin care products in these popular stores.

Some of the most well known skin care companies use the cheapest synthetic ingredients in their products and are the most expensive. These chemicals are dangerous to your health and do nothing to enhance your skin. The reason for this is that too much money is spent by the Skin Care Companies on advertising and not enough on product development. There are very few regulations preventing the use of chemicals in skin care products. Some of these chemicals used are listed as follows.

\"Skin Care\"

#1 Dioxane is a synthetic agent sourced from coconuts. It is easily absorbed by your skin and known as be cancerous.

The World's Best Skin Care Products

#2 Mineral Oil, also known as petrolatum, liquid paraffin or paraffin wax. It does nothing but clog the pores of your skin, preventing toxins from being eliminated and causing acne. Mineral oil causes skin dryness leading to the appearance of early aging.

#3 Alcohols with various names such as ethanol, benzyl, isopropyl, ethyl and methanol. These alcohols strip your protective layer of the skin known as the acid mantle allowing bacteria and viruses to enter your body. Dryness and irritation is another problem.

#4 Parabens known as methyl, butyl, propyl and ethyl are used as preservatives. They can cause allergic reactions, rashes, problems with your endocrine system and cancer.

#5 Fragrances all consisting of various chemicals.

As you can see, products with the above chemicals are definitely not the world`s best skin care products. Your skin is your largest organ and is like a huge sponge absorbing anything that is applied to it. Once anything is absorbed by your skin it will enter your blood stream to be carried through the rest of your body.

So, if you were to discover the world's best skin care products, what would you be looking for? I would suggest company integrity, chemical free ingredients processed so as not to destroy any essential ingredients, scientifically researched ingredients to enhance and feed your skin, the latest technology in skin care a couple of years ahead of the mainstream, ongoing scientific research, only the very best natural ingredients used, nothing spent on advertising, not found in department stores, manufactured and sold directly from the factory to eliminate the middle man and a money back guarantee.

This is a very brief overview of the world's best skin care products

More information can be found on my Website so please click on the link. Fine lines, thin skin and wrinkles are some signs of this condition. What really causes it?

The significant thinning of dermis followed by the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines are caused by the loss of collagen and elastin. These are two skin proteins that hold and bind skin tissues together. Without them, skin usually sags and looks old.

Skin

Also, another reason is weight loss. If you have been packing on pounds far too long and you suddenly lost a lot of weight, you can have this condition. The elasticity of your dermis has been stretch to its limit and it cannot easily go back to its original form anymore.

What Causes Crepey Skin?

If too much excess skin is flapping in your arms or tummy, surgical procedures are imminent. No amount of natural method can remove that excess skin. However, if this is just a condition of advancing years, a good skin care cream can be of help. This is true as long as you are using the right one.

There are a couple of ingredients you need to find. These should be incorporated in the skin care cream you are using:

CynergyTK
This is the ingredient that can help bring back collagen and elastin. This is non-negotiable and indispensable in your product. It supplies you with much needed keratin. With this properly supplied in your skin, you can enhance and improve collagen and elastin production.

Unlike other products, you are not synthetically providing your skin with collagen and elastin. By providing a protein essential in its process, you are letting your skin do its core functions.

Phytessence Wakame
Another ingredient that can improve skin functions is Phytessence Wakame. This is an essential part of your skin care regimen as it helps prevent the breaking down of hyaluronic acid. So many harmful enzymes break down hyaluronic acid which is what supplies moisture to collagen and elastin. Without this acid, our collagen and elastin will dry up and deteriorate fast.

Nano Lipobelle HEQ10
A good antioxidant is also called for. This one can supply you with the antioxidative benefits you need. It helps protect your dermis from the effects of harmful free radicals.

Now that you know the causes of crepey skin, it is time to start looking for an effective method that can help alleviate this skin condition.

This leaves you paying a large bill for what is considered a fairly simple process. Before you head off to the doctors office, why not try these simple home methods for getting rid of skin tags.

The first option you have for getting rid of your skin tags is to simply cut them off. It is important to note when doing this that there is a serious risk of infection if you use this method improperly. You should not only use brand new implements for this procedure, but you should also sterilize them first.

Skin

You can clean them either by soaking them in a sanitizer (the kind you clean yourself with, not your house) or putting them in fire for a minute or so. Just be sure to let them cool first if you put them in fire. You can clip off the skin tags with small scissors, but you may find it easier to use nail clippers. Simply snip the tag off at the bottom near the healthy skin. This sounds like it hurts a lot, but is generally not too painful. Be sure to have cotton balls or bandages around though, just in case you do bleed some.

Top 4 Ways of Getting Rid of Skin Tags at Home

Another method for skin tag removal is freezing them off. Doctors often use this method for getting rid of skin tags and warts, but products have come on the market in recent years for doing this at home. Simply find the product at a grocery store and follow the instructions. Because these kits are small and less effective than what a doctor uses, you should probably only consider this method for small tags.

The last home option available for getting rid of skin tags is to cut off their blood supply. This sounds slightly dangerous, but is probably the safest of the home removal options. In this method, you cut off the blood supply to the skin tag by tying string very tightly around the base of the tag.

Depending on the location of your skin tags, you will probably need help tying the string tight enough. Remember to use strong string and to tie it as tightly as possible. You will need to knot the string and keep in on for a few days. After the tag has been cut off from the blood supply, it will eventually die and simply fall off.

While these remedies may be effective for getting rid of skin tags, there are some instances where you should see a doctor instead. There are rare occasions where a skin tag can be malignant, so if you have one dramatically change size or color, you should see a doctor. You should also consult a doctor if anything goes wrong with the removal or if the entire tag doesn't come off. Again, remember to be safe, sterilize, and get someone to help you if you need it.

If dry skin only appears around the oral area, it can be an indication of a skin condition called eczema, or dermatitis.

Although physicians have long been aware of the existence of this disease, nobody really knows what causes eczema. Nevertheless, studies have already proven that eczema, more often than not, affects the facial area; this, of course, includes the mouth. When you have eczema, you'll notice that besides having dry skin, the affected areas also appear red or swollen. These areas are also particularly sensitive and most times, itchy. In the worst cases, the skin affected can chap, crack or even bleed.

SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS

Another disease that could cause dry skin to appear around your mouth is seborrheic dermatitis, a kind of eczema. This type of dermatitis occurs when the skin is especially rich in sebum or oil. It may sound contradictory that excessive oil leads to dry skin. However, medical experts have already established this connection.

A person can suffer from seborrheic dermatitis because of the existence of malassezia, a type of yeast, on the skin. While a lot of people are not bothered by its presence, some individuals may develop skin problems because of it. Such irritation happens due to sudden or extreme changes in weather, increased stress levels or excessive scratching.

CONTACT DERMATITIS

Another type of dermatitis, contact dermatitis, is caused by an irritant or allergen. When the skin comes into contact with said irritant or allergen, it becomes particularly sensitive. Naturally, the best way to treat contact dermatitis is to find out what caused it. Good nutrition including fresh vegetable juice such as carrots can play a role in creating better-looking skin. Carrot Juice is used for skin health to provide curative and preventative properties for healthy glowing skin. The largest organ in the body, our skin is the first defense against germs and the environment. One of the best ways to slow the aging of skin is to ensure the skin is well hydrated by consuming fresh juice and plenty of water each day.

Carrots are regarded as the 'herbal healer' of skin diseases as they promote the repair of skin tissue. Carrot juice is a valuable source of Vitamin A, which is a major vitamin for skin health. Carrots are rich in antioxidants, including phytochemicals, vitamins and minerals, which protect, nourish and moisturize the skin. Nutrition received from carrots helps to reduce photosensitivity to promote skin renewal and protect the skin from sun damage.

Skin

Carrot juice acts as an anti-inflammatory and revitalizes and tones the skin. Cosmetically, carrots are used to treat dermatitis, eczema, rashes and wrinkles caused by free radicals. Carrot juice is also used to assist in the healing of cuts and abrasions. Complexion problems due mainly to toxic overload in the body and an acidic condition in the blood can be stabilized through consumption of carrot juice. Potassium in the carrots helps to neutralize the excess acid and the vitamin A assists the liver in flushing toxins from the body.

A recent study in the Netherlands found a significant link between skin condition and the level of vitamin A in the blood. Natural vitamin A in the form of Beta Carotene is abundant in fresh carrot juice thereby negating the need for vitamin A supplements.

Vitamin A deficiencies in the body include: premature wrinkling, skin impurities, acne, dry, scaly and rough skin, especially on the arms and legs. Carrot juice applied daily is great for uneven skin tones due to blemishes and pigmentation. Extract juice from carrots and pineapple using a juicer: mix pineapple juice and carrot juice together, apply it on the face and wash off after 15 minutes. Use this daily to achieve clear and even toned skin.

Drink carrot juice in small doses, as the body is unable to assimilate more than 8oz of carrot juice at a time. Large consumptions of carrot juice daily over a period of weeks may result in a yellow tinge to the skin. At best it will give a healthy glow to your tan. The skin discoloration is completely harmless and occurs primarily on the hands and feet. Either your body is unable to process carotene properly or your liver is toxic. Either way for healthy nutrition it is important not to concentrate on only one juice source.

A healthy skin is achieved internally through a nutritious diet incorporating fresh vegetable juice. Carrot juice is effective in maintaining and enhancing a soft, smooth disease free skin. An invigorating and refreshing juice, start drinking carrot juice today and tell me if you see a difference in your skin

Treating blemishes and uneven skin tone

If you're plagued by blemishes or uneven skin tone from, for example, acne breakouts, you may need to use a gentle skin lightening product to even out the color. Stay away from "skin bleaching" products that contain harsh chemicals, especially when you're treating your face. We'll look more at these specific products in the next section.

Also important for improving skin complexion is to use a cream that helps your skin to renew itself. Anything that stimulates the skin to produce new cells can help to reduce blemishes.

Natural oils and emollients like avocado oil and shea butter also provide a lot of benefits to the skin. Shea butter in particular is known to contribute to the healing of scar tissue and blemishes, and also helps in treating sun damaged skin.

Powerful antioxidants like CoenzymeQ10, when used in a nano-formulation as part of a skin cream, can also help to repair damaged cells, while stimulating cell growth at the same time.

How to improve skin complexion by lightening skin color

If you have a dark complexion, you may feel the need to lighten it. We already touched on skin lightening above, so let's look at exactly what safe and natural ingredients you can use here to achieve a more fair skin complexion.

Extrapone Nutgrass Root is an ingredient used in certain lightening creams. The good thing about it is that it is not only extremely effective at inhibiting the skin pigment called melanin, but it is also very gentle on the skin as it was originally developed as an anti-irritant.

Melanin, in case you didn't know, is the pigment that determines skin color. The more melanin you have, the darker your skin.

You can use a lightening cream either on dark spots to even out skin tone, or you can use it to lighten your skin complexion in general.

In addition to the above, always make sure you follow a healthy lifestyle and diet to improve complexion. If you consume only junk food and soft drinks and never exercise, any skin care product will have a hard time having a positive effect as it will be fighting the damage you are doing to your body as well.

The human skin is a complex organ. It consists of several layers, which are involved in a range of functions, from defence against external pathogens to temperature regulation. The skin is the largest organ of the human body and renews itself every 28 - 30 days.

Skin

In an earlier article, I provided a detailed description of the various functions of each of the layers that make up the skin, so I will not discuss these here. This article however, will look at the potential problems dead skin cells can cause if a proper skin care regime is not followed.

Dead Skin Cells - Are They A Problem?

Skin Structure Review

The structure of the skin is basically divided into two general layers, the dermis (link to previous article) and the epidermis. The latter is divided further into 5 layers. The layer at the very surface of the skin is called the Stratum corneum, which consists mainly of dead skin cells.

Dead Skin Cells

The body sheds these dead skin cells of it's own accord, however, exfoliation through the use of skin brushes, luffah's or exfoliant skin care products, helps to stimulate new cell growth and reduces build up of dead skin cells.

So, how do dead skin cells impact the skin's health? As the dead skin cells build up on the surface of the skin, they have the potential to act as a barrier to absorption of nutrients from nourishing creams and lotions; they also have the potential to block sweat glands, which can result in white heads, black heads or acne.

Of course you do need a certain amount of dead skin cells to cover your skin, however, it does not need to be very thick to execute it's function as a barrier. If the rate of skin cell production/death is higher than normal, as for example is psoriasis, the body is unable to shed old cells quickly enough for the new cells to replace them. As the new cells push their way to the surface of the skin, the old cells create a build up of dead skin, which appear as raised patches.

Under normal circumstances, every minute of the day we lose about 30,000 to 40,000 dead skin cells off the surface of our skin - that's about 4 kilograms per year of dead skin cells. In fact, much of the dust in a house is to a great extent comprised of our dead skin cells.

Effective regulation of dead skin cells

There are basically two reasons for using a daily skin care regime. The first is to keep the skin clean and the dead skin cell layer to a healthy minimum. The second reason is to provide the skin with nutrients and nourishment for optimum functionality.

As aforementioned, using a natural exfoliant skin care product is a great option to gently remove some of the dead skin cells and provide some nutrients at the same time. Following the exfoliation using a cleanser to remove deep-seated dirt and stale oils from skin pores and wrinkles is a necessary next step. This is not just to remove dirt etc., but also helps to keep microbes down, as many of the natural skin cleansers utilise essential oils, which are anti-septic in nature and thus help reduce the chance of skin infections.

Once the cleansing has been completed, it is time to close the pores of the skin to prevent dust and other environmental particles from entering the open pores. This is where a natural toning lotion is ideal. Being formulated to contain astringents and other nourishing ingredients, toners will prepare the skin for the final step - Moisturising.

Moisturising your skin is critical. Moisturisers provide essential nutrients for the skin and at the same time help the skin to retain moisture, preventing dehydration of the skin and acceleration of skin cell death.

Implementing a good daily skin care regime will not only help to remove excessive dead skin cells, but will provide the skin with moisture, nutrients and assist it in its defence against microbial infections.

Learn exactly what's causing those dry skin patches by reading the different types of dry skin diseases listed below.

ECZEMA OR DERMATITIS

Skin

This disease tends to cause patches of dry skin to appear in your legs and arms. Dermatitis is an irritating skin condition because it's extremely itchy and yet you're not allowed to scratch the affected parts because doing so can aggravate it. Dermatitis is when you experience an adverse reaction when your skin comes in contact with an irritant or allergen. Usually, irritants can take the form of fake metal jewelry or even artificial nails.

What to Do When You Have Dry Skin Patches

PITTED KERATOLYSIS

When dry skin patches appear on your feet, there's a very strong chance that you're suffering from pitted keratolysis. It's also very distinctive and easily recognizable as pitted keratolysis causes the affected area of your sole to change in appearance and odor.

Generally, pitted keratolysis is much worse during warm weather or when your feet become damp. This type of dry skin disease can last for years if you don't take any action to cure or treat it. Usually, regular use of an anti-bacterial soap and other anti-perspirant products can help in reducing the undesirable symptoms of pitted keratolysis.

PSORIASIS

Pray that none of the dry skin patches appearing in your face or body are an indication of psoriasis. This skin condition is not only without cure but can also be quite painful in severe cases. There are several types of psoriasis that have been diagnosed by doctors.

Plaque psoriasis most often appears around the elbows, knees, lower back and scalp, but it can develop in other parts of the body as well. Guttate psoriasis are characterized by small red spots on the skin, while pustular psoriasis appears as white pustules enclosed in reddened skin. Inverse psoriasis surfaces as smooth red lesions in folded skin. Lastly, erythrodermic psoriasis involves extensive redness and extreme itching and pain.

As we age, our skin produces less of the natural oil that helps it retain its moisture.

The dermis is structurally divided into two areas: a superficial area adjacent to the epidermis, called the papillary region, and a deep thicker area known as the reticular region. The outermost layer of epidermis consists of 25 to 30 layers of dead cells. Our skin also receives less blood flow and lower gland activity than the other organs in our body.

\"Skin Care\"

When the skin loses moisture it may crack and peel, or become irritated and inflamed. Dry skin can be due to a genetic condition but it's not common. Environmental factors, such as exposure to sun, wind, cold, chemicals, or cosmetics, or excessive bathing with harsh soaps, can cause dry skin.

Certain drugs, including diuretics, antispasmodics, and antihistamines, can contribute to dry skin conditions; check with your pharmacist or doctor and read the drug insert - you can get one from your pharmacist. When the oil glands do not supply enough lubrication to the skin, the skin becomes dehydrated. Forced-air furnaces may make skin even drier than it already is.

When the skin is dry and dehydrated, dead skin cells remain on the skin which may block pores and promote acne, zits, blemishes, or other breakouts; drink plenty of pure water. Eating fruits that are red or orange in color will help improve you skin health and help to prevent acne. I put two tablespoons of coconut oil in my smoothies, which are made with fruits only - using a base of two bananas, then adding fruit, frozen or fresh-- blend well.

Cosmetics should be used carefully because they may dry out the skin or cause allergic reactions like contact dermatitis; read the labels. Natural treatments should always be the first type of treatments to consider when you want to heal and take the best care of your skin. Only use mild cleansers or mild soaps if you must use a soap or cleanser.

Apply coconut oil to irritated or chapped lips as well; it's edible, so it's safe and so healing to the lips. Coconut oil is the best healing, soothing, and moisturizing treatment I've found for dry skin; in fact all types of skin conditions, skin eruptions, pimples, acne, milia, irritations, cuts, burns, fungus, etc. To see what coconut oil can do for your skin fast, apply coconut oil several times a day and at bedtime.

When you buy coconut oil, make sure you get the kind that hasn't been refined, processed and deodorized. If you have acne, eczema or any type of dermatitis coconut oil will treat and quickly heal these skin conditions too.

Skin that's not clean favors the development of pathogenic organisms; the dead cells continually slough off of the epidermis and mix with the secretions of the sweat and sebaceous glands and the dust found on the skin, to form a layer on its surface. The skin must be regularly cleaned or it'll become cracked or inflamed.

Call your doctor or naturopath when your skin feels itchy all over your body, with or without a visible rash. Make sure to call your skin doctor or dermatologist when you have any open cuts or sores from scratching that won't heal.

Lotions, liniments, massage oils, creams and compresses are all external preparations such as moisturisers but are also used to treat conditions such as skin problems and rashes, to relieve bruising, aches and pains.

\"Skin Care\"

But what is an emulsion and what does it actually mean.

What is an Emulsion in Skin Care?

All of these products tend to be water and oil preparations and as a result of the oil content will absorb into the skin.

Making a lotion, cream liniment etc is based on blending the oil and water in the right proportions to make an emulsion. Leave it long enough and it will eventually separate. By adding an emulsifier, this becomes a stable product and will remain bound. The emulsifiers you then select are dependent on which type of emulsion it is.

So What Is The Difference?
An emulsion can be made in two ways: either as a oil in water emulsion or a water in oil. Sound the same don't they and they do create a similar result.

Explanation

If it is a oil in water emulsion, then the oil is the disperse phase and the water is the continuous phase.

If it is a water in oil emulsion, then the water is the disperse phase and the oil is the continuous phase.

Either type of cream/lotion can separate into it's components over time even with the emulsifier present and can sometimes be caused by extreme temperatures, the wrong proportion of the disperse component and the addition of other components such as alcohol.

Most people these days are selective of what they put on their skin, so be aware of what type of emulsion it is. Try to find a product that has natural emulsifiers in it and uses natural oils are the base. Your skin will thank you for it.

Aging is inevitable, it happens to everyone, but with good skin care you can slow down your aging process and defy your age. Ageless beauty is about taking good care of yourself and there are many ways you can have beautiful skin, ward off wrinkles and keep your skin soft and supple.

Sensual Milk Bath

\"Skin Care\"

Create a skin rejuvenating spa at home with a sensual milk bath. Take one cup of powdered whole milk and add one tablespoon of grape seed oil, mix well and add to your running bath water. When your bath water is ready, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Whole milk contains lactic acid and this will help to remove any dead skin cells, the grape seed oil contains powerful antioxidants to feed your skin and the essential oils will help to create a beautiful fragrance that will lift your mood.

Grapefruit to Soften Your Elbows

To help keep your elbows soft and supple, exfoliate away the dry skin while having your bath. After your bath, take one fresh grapefruit and cut it in half. Place one half under each elbow and stay in this position for at least fifteen minutes. Allowing your elbows to soak like this will soften the skin and help to lighten any dark areas at the same time.

Lemon Detox

Begin each day with a refreshing home made lemon drink. This lemon drink is quick and easy to prepare and works as an effective body detox. Squeeze the juice from one lemon (or lime) into a mug and add hot water. Drink it slowly. If you do this everyday it will help to flush out all the impurities and toxins that have accumulated in your body and greatly benefit your skin.

Boost Collagen with Blueberries

Blueberries are excellent collagen promoters for women over 50 because they are packed with vitamin C. Boosting your collagen levels is an important part of skin care because will help to protect your skin against wrinkling and help to preserve your youthful looks. Try to include at least ½ cup of fresh blueberries in your diet 2 or 3 times a week and you will soon notice a marked difference in the condition of your skin.

Give Your Hands a Facial

Applying a facial mask to the back of your hands once a month will leave them smooth and wrinkle free. Leave the mask on for at least 10 - 15 minutes. Hands are often neglected by women over 50 and they are one of the main places that can reveal your real age.

Moist Kissable Lips

Don't forget your lips, they need skin care too. If you breathe through your mouth while you sleep or if your bedroom gets warm your lips are likely to dry out and become cracked or dry and rough. To keep your lips soft, kissable and line free try nourishing them at night before you go to sleep. That way, when you wake your lips will feel wonderfully moisturized and soft. Either use a Vitamin E based lip balm or just plain and simple Vaseline.

Women over 50 need to pay special attention to their skin care regime because as you age your body does not replace the old skin cells as quickly as it did when you were in your twenties. It is impossible to stop skin aging completely, but with the proper care you can preserve your youthful looks for many years to come.

Each of these cultures tends to have certain characteristics such as eye colour, hair colour, skin colour, etc,. Inherent with cultural backgrounds is a difference in skin types. For example, western cultures such as the central and northern Europeans have a tendency to fair complexions, hair and eye colour, while southern Europeans dent to have darker hair, brown eyes and darker, olive skin tones.

Africans and African Americans, have very dark or almost black skin, usually dark or black hair and brown eyes. Genetically, this skin type is less susceptible to the UV rays, although their skin can still get burned.

Asians on the other hand have a yellowish skin tone and can have brown or blue eyes but have mostly dark or black hair. Yes, genetics does have its opinion on how we look. The cultural differences are reflected in the skin and the genetic factors play an important role in how well our skin looks, how 'tough' it is and how vulnerable it is to certain skin problems.

There are those that say, yes, indeed, goat's milk does have almost magical properties when it comes to skin.

Cleopatra bathed in goat's milk in ancient Egypt, and goats are the oldest domesticated animal. Goats are bred for various purposes. Some goats are bred for meat, some are bred for their skin and others are bred for their milk. A goat that has been bred for milk production can produce as much as 465 gallons of milk each year. Goat's milk can be drunk fresh, but pasteurization is recommended to reduce bacteria.

\"Skin Care\"

Goat's milk is very closely related in make up to human milk - much more so than cow's milk - and goat's milk contains 20% less cholesterol than cow's milk. Most people lose their ability to digest cow's milk as they age past childhood. Some will even become lactose intolerant. Goat's milk contains much less lactose than cow's milk, so goat's milk could be the answer for those who have become lactose intolerant. There is only a very slight taste difference between cow's milk and goat's milk today.

Skin Care Magic of Goat's Milk

But let's get back to the almost magical properties of goat's milk and healthy skin. Changing from drinking cow's milk to drinking goat's milk will produce benefits to skin that is affected by eczema or psoriasis in about two days' time. You will see almost immediate improvement.

Does goat's milk contain a magical skin ingredient? I don't know, but I do know that if you will try drinking goat's milk, you will be very pleasantly surprised!

Keratin is important to keep your skin looking good, so it must be good to find keratin in your skin care products right?

Maybe.

\"Skin Care\"

First though, lets have a look at what keratin actually is.

Keratin in Skin Care Products - Beware!

Keratin is a "structural protein". It is tough and fibrous and helps hold your skin together firmly, and prevent sagging. As a structural component of our skin keratin has a major role in skin health. All good. This is found in a number of areas in our bodies, like our nails and teeth as well as our skin. As you can see keratin can be both hard and soft. It's hard in nails, for instance, and is soft in skin.

Keratin in our skin forms below the surface, and gradually works it's way up to the surface where it forms a protective layer. It is formed by what are known as keratinocytes, which are living cells which exist in our skin.

So isn't it a good thing if we see keratin on the label of our skin care products and anti aging products?

That depends. You see not all keratin is created equal, and some keratin is better than other keratin. You need the right type in your skin care products, or it won't do very much at all. I mentioned that keratin is found in various parts of the body, including the nails and skin. So most keratin that is used in anti aging skin care is derived from animal sources that contain keratin. In particular hooves, horns and feathers.

All these animal products are basically melted down and subjected to high temperatures, and extracted from these animal products for use in skin care products. However the problem is that the process used to extract the keratin, and specifically the heat to which it is subjected, changes it's form by a process known as hydrolyzation.

Hydrolyzation basically means that the chemical properties of the ingredient are changed. And for keratin, the hydrolyzation means that it is changed to a form that is no longer useful to our skin.

So is keratin in our skin care products good? No, not if it's been extracted by use of the traditional extraction process and it's been hydrolyzed.

Wait a moment though, because that's not the end of the story.

There is a small company in New Zealand that has found a way to extract keratin from the wool of New Zealand sheep in a way that does not lead to hydrolyzation. So the keratin is not degraded, and is still "bio available".Ie it remains in it's natural form. It's called "Functional Keratin".

So if you find this type of keratin in your skin care products then yes, that's good. Very good.

Problem is, the major skin care manufacturers don't use Functional Keratin because it's more expensive. And they are in the business of keeping their product costs down to keep profits up. So as long as they can say there is keratin in there, that's good enough.

So how do you go about getting your skin care products with keratin in them with the "bio available" form?

Can you get skin care products with keratin in them with the "bio available" form?

Yes you can. It's in a skin care range manufactured by a small niche skincare company and it's extremely effective. It's been described as "liquid skin" and works, according to current scientific studies, to stimulate the production of new skin cells to replace the old ones. This helps improve elasticity and firmness in the skin, both extremely desirable outcomes.

So to answer the original question, is it good to find keratin in your skin care products? No, not if it's traditionally extracted, it won't do much. Yes if it's Functional Keratin because it will do it's job of firming your skin and making it look healthier and younger.

Ahhh, but where do you find this tiny niche skin care company?

When used on the skin, papain works to gently exfoliate and dissolve dead skin cells to bring new skin cells to the surface and reveal a healthy complexion. Because of these skin renewal properties, papaya can fade dark marks, even skin tone and is a natural ingredient that is often found in skin lightening products.

Papaya is originally from Central and South America but can now be found in the tropical climates of Africa, Southeast Asia and the Caribbean. When ripe, papaya is orange in colour but the green flesh of the unripe fruit contains a lot more of the papain enzyme.

\"Skin Care\"

Breaking down dead skin cells is essential to skin whitening. As papaya helps to speed up the skin cell renewal process, it can help to lighten the complexion. However, papaya does not have any melanin inhibiting properties so will not cause drastic skin lightening. It is ideal for fading dark marks and skin brightening in general.

Papaya For Skin Care - Can Papaya Be Used For Skin Lightening?

To benefit from the lightening effects of papaya, you can use papaya soap twice a day and will see an effect after a few months of consistent use. Using the flesh of the fruit as a face mask 2-3 times a week will also remove dead skin and lighten the complexion.

Both the fruit itself and the soap are easily available and inexpensive. When looking for natural skin lightening agents, papaya based products are popular because they are so mild on the skin but effective.

Papaya is not only great for fading dark marks and evening skin tone. The many other great properties include treating acne, burns, stings, rashes, anti-aging and it tastes great too!

This potent active ingredient facilitates cells and corrects at the cellular level. This may not be just a bunch of talk, since there have been several studies conducted on Renovage. The vitro study claims it is beneficial in coetaneous functional recovery and structural recovery. Another clinical study determined that there significant visible and structural improvements to the skin and signs of aging. There was a 35% improvement in firmness, 45% improvement in tone, and a 56% reduction in pigment spots. Lines and wrinkles were significantly reduced.

\"Skin Care\"

Because Renovage works at the DNA level, the results are not superficial as with some other anti aging ingredients, which just fight wrinkles and do nothing to actually restore ones youthful appearance. Most anti aging products do nothing to tone the skin, reduce redness, dilute the size of pores, reduces age spots and redness, where as Renovage does.

Renovage - Anti Aging Skin Care Ingredient

While other anti aging products treat the symptoms Renovage gets down to the cause, which is relating ageing cells that have entered the senescence phase too quickly, because of accumulated DNA damage that builds over time and is not repaired.

What are the signs of aging Renovage works on?

1. Functions of your Skin - With Renovage 60% will be replenished based on Clinical tests.

2. Cell Resistance - Clinical testing showed Renovage had the ability to regenerate 75% to 100% of the skin at the cellular level, eliminating the toxins that cause wrinkles, sunspots, redness, and pores that are enlarged.

3. Wound Healing - You may not realize that wrinkles are actually a wound and Renovage can heal not only wrinkles but cuts and scars too.

4.
